Download Official Media

To begin our activation guide, you must first download the official software media directly from Microsoft.

Run the Installation

This part of our guide covers the software setup on your device.

Open the downloaded .ISO or .EXE file to start the installation wizard.
Follow the on-screen prompts and select your preferred language and edition.
Choose “I don’t have a product key” if asked during setup to proceed to the desktop first.

Product Key Entry

For Windows

Go to Settings > Activation.
Click Change product key.
Type your key and click Next.

For Office

Open Word or Excel.
Go to File > Account.
Select Change Product Key.

Troubleshooting

Error: “Key already in use”

Ensure the key was not previously used on another device. Retail keys are for one PC only.
